# Affinities of the elements

Wardens exhibit a deep attunement to the elemental energies that flow through their mysterious realm. These energies manifest as affinities, with Wardens primarily aligning with one of the five elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Nature. These affinities have a significant impact on their abilities and powers. While some Wardens form strong bonds with two elements, such as Frost (Air + Water), others forge even deeper bonds with a single element, such as Inferno (Fire + Fire). Strategic consideration of these elemental affinities becomes paramount when building a team. For example, while your Guardian may be formidable due to his Nature + Nature affinity, he could face considerable challenges when pitted against an Inferno Warden. Careful selection of Wardens is therefore essential for optimal results in battle.
